Meet Principal Erika Macias

Principal Erika Macias is proud to lead J.P. Henderson Elementary, home of the Mighty Falcons! With 16 years of experience in education, Ms. Macias is a passionate leader dedicated to helping every student soar.

As a proud product of HISD herself, she knows firsthand the power of a strong education and caring teachers. Her journey from HISD student to principal fuels her commitment to making J.P. Henderson a place where all Falcons feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their dreams.

When she’s not at school cheering on her students and staff, you can find her enjoying time with family, exploring the world, or diving into a good book. Principal Macias believes in the greatness of every child and works each day to help them spread their wings and fly high!
